Charles Robert Guiler Jr. – Roscoe

Charles Robert Guiler Jr., 74, of Roscoe, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Charleroi on Oct. 11, 1944, son of the late Charles Robert and Henrietta Brierley Guiler Sr. Charles retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Roscoe American Legion Post No. 801, the Roscoe Sportsman’s club, where he held various offices throughout his membership, and the Roscoe Slovak Club. Charles is survived by his wife, Lois Henderson Guiler; a son, Scott (Megan) Guiler of Monessen; a daughter, Robin Quigley of Elco; one granddaughter, Summer Quigley; a great-grandson, Conner Mulraney; a brother, Jack Guiler of Ravenna, Ohio; and a sister, Dawna Rapsack of Long Branch. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Bloom. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., Rosoce.
