Veteran-heavy Trojans ready for new season

By Mon Valley Independent

For the MV Independent

For the last three years, Lindsay Keene has been building the soccer program at California. During that time, Keene has had her family by her side.

Keene’s husband, Ken, serves as her assistant coach. Her son, Noah, was the Trojans goalkeeper in her first two seasons and returns this year as a volunteer goalie coach, working with both the middle school and high school teams.

The youngest Keene of the bunch is Faith, an all-section player two seasons ago, who missed most of last season dealing with a concussion.

Faith is in her third season as a captain for the Trojans and will be a huge asset returning to the field. Faith is currently undecided on a destination but will move on to play college soccer following her senior campaign.
