Frazier aims to continue dominance

“Decade of dominance.”

For the Frazier volleyball team, there may not be a better T-shirt design out there and more than a few players wore the shirts during practice last week as the Commodores prepare for the 2019 season.

The Commodores have won an unprecendented 10 straight section titles and are favored to make it No. 11 this season.

The bad news for their competition is that after losing to North Catholic in last season’s WPIAL championship game, the Commodores are hungrier and out to redeem themselves after not losing a player off the roster.

“We hate to look beyond our section, so we’re going to address that first,” head coach Mandy Hartman said. “But that championship loss really left a bad taste in our mouths. With this group, these seniors, they have to keep their focus and we’ll be fine. We can’t lose sight off our short-term goals.”
