Branden James Allen – Belle Vernon

By obits

Branden James Allen, 38, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, after a 15-year courageous battle with cancer. A son of William and Donna Hollick Allen, who survive and reside in Belle Vernon, he was born in Greensburg, on May 30, 1981. Branden’s faith in his Lord Jesus Christ saw him through his numerous battles with cancer and his love of the Lord was only followed by his love for his daughter, Quinn, whom he was blessed with seven years ago. A software developer for years, cancer took away his ability to continue his chosen profession. Branden loved painting, fishing, bowling, going to Pitt games and, most of all, going to the beach. He was a member of East Belle Vernon Athletic Club where he made many friends who cheered him on and supported him through his courageous battles until the end.  Branden is now pain-free and resting in the arms of the Lord. In addition to his parents and daughter, Branden is survived by his brother, Darrick Allen and niece Lilah Allen of Carroll Township; aunts Patty Tessmer, Virginia Allen and Lois (Ken) Keener; uncles Ron (Jane) Hollick and Ralph (Pam) Hollick, as well as numerous cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300    www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be private. Branden’s family would like to thank all of the friends and family who supported Branden and his family through thoughts, prayers and monetary donations through his courageous fight. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute Research Center or to the family to defray medical costs.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
