Robert J. ‘Doc’ Gallagher – Auburndale, Fla., formerly of Monongahela

Robert “Doc” Gallagher, 81, formerly of Monongahela, passed away on Aug. 15, 2019, in Lakeland, Fla. He was born on Jan. 13, 1938, to Joseph & Ruth Gallagher in West Newton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had a dental practice in Monongahela for many years. Bob moved from Pennsylvania to Auburndale in 1987. He then went on to work as a graphic artist, teacher and Disney photographer. Bob was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale. Some of his interests included: BCBL, road rallies, historical miniature gaming, Pickleball Gang of Auburndale, music, genealogy, puppet ministry, and many other creative pursuits. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Gallagher; daughter Jill (Greg) Keenan of Texas; son, Brian Gallagher of Pennsylvania; sister, Jean (Ed) Perlstein of the state of California; brother, Paul (Jeanne) Gallagher of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Drew Gallagher, Kyle Keenan and Jordan Keenan; and nieces and nephews.
