Joyce F. Gill – Belle Vernon

Joyce F. Gill, 90, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, in Country Care Manor. A daughter of the late Leroy and Lena Weidow Gibson, she was born in North Belle Vernon on Sept. 12, 1928.  A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Joyce was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Supervalu, retiring in 1990. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert L. Gill and Thomas and Karen Gill, all of Belle Vernon; a daughter and son in-law, Jennifer and Michael Erdely of Monessen; six grandchildren, Chad (Jenny) Gill of Glenview, Ill., Erik (Ciara) Gill of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Kaytlin Gill of Madison, Wis., Kasey Curtis of Oakland, Md., Cody Curtis of Monessen, and Cameron Curtis of Oakland, Md.; and three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Gill, Connor Gill and Jaxson Eichorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Gill, on March 6, 1995; a daughter in-law, Annie Plewniak Gill; and a sister, Patricia Walters. Visitation and funeral services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.
