Betty Marie Guseman, 80, of Washington Township, Belle Vernon, was called home by her Lord on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. A daughter of the late Stephen and Irene Demeter Drotos, she was born in North Charleroi on Jan. 24, 1939. Betty had worked at the former Kmart of Belle Vernon as a greeter and at the customer service desk, and, for nine years, Mon Valley Hospital in the medical records department. By trade, she was a beautician. A “people person,” Betty loved cooking, bowling, dancing, traveling and her family. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Alden R. Guseman; one daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Alf Moebius of North Belle Vernon; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert R. Guseman; and one brother, Edward Drotos. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Boring officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eastern Star will meet in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday to hold services.
