Alvin R. Lowther – Charleroi

Alvin R. Lowther, 96, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully at Dunlevy Manor on Aug. 3, 2019. Alvin was born in Hopwood on July 31, 1923, son of the late Edward and Alice Shuman Lowther. Alvin is survived by his son, Albert and daughter-in-law Janet Lowther of Huntsville, Ala.; and his daughter, Joan Santini of North Charleroi; six grandchildren, Traci Hyatt, Shannon Hostovich, Wayne Santini, Senia Lowther, Alan Lowther and Anthony Lowther; 11 great-grandchildren, Christopher Hasten, Dakota Bonner, Patrick Lowther, Kallie Lowther, Jaxon Lowther, Dane Hostovich, Zachary Hostovich, Jeremiah Hyatt, Dominik Santini, Hunter Hyatt and Rylee Santini; three great-great-grandchildren, Chloe Hasten, Chandler Hasten and Wyatt Hostovich. In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by his wife, Johanne Keiper Lowther. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 17, 2019, at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, with the Rev Mark Woomer officiating.
