Bearcats loaded for a WPIAL run

When the girls soccer season gets under way, Bentworth coach Tyler Hamstra knows his Bearcats will be looked at a little differently by the opposition.

“We won’t be able to fly under the radar like we did last year. That’s for sure,” said Hamstra, who will be embarking on his sixth season at the helm. “Teams will know about us this time around.”

And there is good reason for that.

A year ago, the young Bearcats came out of nowhere to go 18-4, winning the Section 2-A title, rolling into the WPIAL title game and then going as far as the PIAA quarterfinals.
