Monongahela sets cookie table record

Anyone with a sweet tooth would have been happy Sunday in Monongahela as the city established a new Guinness world record Sunday for the world’s largest wedding cookie table.
The exact number of cookies on the table wasn’t immediately known, but it’s estimated to be at least 60,000.
The tables, set end to end, snaked through Chess Park piled high with cookies of all varieties baked by more than 400 participants.
“It’s going to take me four to six hours to complete the tabulation,” said Christina Conlon, the official Guinness World Records adjudicator who traveled to Monongahela for the record-setting event.
