McKeesport man charged in Pittsburgh stabbings

A McKeesport man stabbed two women, killing one, in front of a Pittsburgh police officer during what investigators described as a random act of violence Thursday at a Downtown Pittsburgh bus stop, officials said.

Both women were taken to a hospital, where one subsequently died, said Major Crimes Unit Commander Victor Joseph.

The other woman is in stable condition, Joseph said.

“It seems by all accounts a random act of violence,” Joseph said.
