It took an extra four minutes of play, but the Grebb League All-Stars fell short in their attempt to topple the Grant Street Park Basketball League All-Stars in Uniontown Saturday night.
Grant Street started out fast in overtime and held off a late push by the Grebb League to claim a 92-91 victory and win the annual all-star game for the second consecutive year.
With the win, Grant Street earns bragging rights and the opportunity to once again host next year’s all-star game.
“Despite the loss, these kids played outstanding basketball,” Grebb League head coach TJ Kurutz said. “I have to give a lot of credit to a lot of these guys. Everyone played an outstanding game and us coaches couldn’t ask for anything more than that.”
