Tri-County Realty has made a habit out of coming out of the gates slow in games this summer.
Considering, however, they entered Tuesday in a tie for first place in the J. Budd Grebb Memorial Summer Basketball League boys division standings, slow starts haven’t seemed to hinder the team donning the red jerseys.
“We just work and work to find that opening and when that opening comes, we try to take advantage of it,” said assistant coach John Bercosky. “These guys just play hard, don’t stop and it shows.”
Tri-County Realty used the 3-point shot to overcome a 14-point first-half deficit and pull away late with a 62-54 victory over Union Cleaners at the Mechanic Street Playground in California.
