State police have charged a White Oak man who allegedly shared child pornography via the Internet.

Jeffery Vincent Khoury, 39, of Glass Street, used BitTorrent on April 20 to share several digital files containing pornography, Trooper Thomas J. Maloney of the Pittsburgh barracks wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.

Maloney said one of those photos, taken in September 2017, is considered child pornography because it shows a nude 12- to 14-year-old female and a nude 8- to 10-year-old male engaging in sexual activity.

Maloney was monitoring suspected child pornography sharing actions that were reported on BitTorrent, a computer software used for peer-to-peer file sharing and distributing data and electronic files over the Internet.
