Josephine Petrusky – Monessen

Josephine Petrusky, 95, of Monessen, died Thursday, July 11, 2019, in Hallsworth House. She was born on May 7, 1924, in Yorkville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Terrano Morello. Mrs. Petrusky was a resident of Monessen most of her life and a graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen. Mrs. Petrusky enjoyed playing cards, loved to travel with her late husband, Paul, and cherished the time she spent with her family and cooking for them. She is survived by a son, Paul Allen (Carol) Petrusky of Latrobe; three daughters, Paulette Bergstedt of Costa Mesa, Calif., Pati (John) Sivek of Fallowfield Township, Pamela Petrusky of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jodi Kirtley of Costa Mesa, Calif., Dean (Beth) Bergstedt of Canonsburg; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Kirtley, Gabrielle, Taylor, Olivia and Devin Bergstedt; a great-great-grandson, Rowen Dzion; sister, Rose Morello of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Petrusky, in 2015; two sisters, Vita Petruska and Elizabeth Gladys; and by three brothers, Frank, Pete and Tony Morello. Private viewing and funeral services were held on Monday at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael Crookston officiating. Interment followed in the Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. The family suggest memorials in Mrs. Petrusky’s name be made to OSPTA Hospice, 4325 SR 51 North, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
