Weekend closure set on Route 51

A portion of state Route 51 in Elizabeth will temporarily close this weekend.

On Thursday, PennDOT District 11 announced a weekend closure of northbound Route 51 approaching the Elizabeth Bridge in Elizabeth beginning today through Monday morning.

Northbound Route 51 will close to traffic at the Elizabeth/Glassport off-ramp from 9 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Monday morning, July 15.

Swank Construction Company, LLC will be completing bridge rehabilitation including repairs to concrete barriers and latex overlay work.
