Lee Supply extends winning streak

With the exception of first-place AMD Industries, there may not be a hotter team in the Grebb League girls division than Lee Supply.
After starting off the season 0-3, they’ve ripped off three straight wins. While Wednesday’s game wasn’t pretty by any means, Lee Supply came away a winner again with an 18-16 win over Belle Vernon Dairy Queen.
Despite neither team lighting up the scoreboard and missing key pieces of their roster, Lee Supply head coach Danny Lynch sees his team’s confidence growing.
“It’s a big boost of confidence for us,” Lynch said after the game, noting his team was playing without 6-4 forward Sara Aumer (Connellsville).
“Usually our game revolves around Jenna (Dawson) on the outside or we’re dumping it into the post to our big. Without her being there today and Jenna having an off night, our girls stepped up.”

AMD Industries rallies past Cedarbrook
AMD Industries overcame a sluggish second quarter and pulled past Cedarbrook in the fourth quarter to come away with a 36-33 win in the nightcap of Wednesday’s action.
Ringgold’s Kirra Gerard had one of her best games of the season, scoring a team-high 10 points for AMD (6-0).
Beth-Center’s Julia Ogrodowski and Charleroi’s Bella Skobel each scored seven points in the winning effort.
Ringgold’s Nya Adams scored a team-high 12 points for Cedarbrook (4-2) as her team led by four at the half. Connellsville’s Baileigh Bishop finished with eight points for Cedarbrook.
