Another Garnic boxer ready for fight

On Wednesday, Buzz Garnic will be flying out to Minneapolis with high hopes for his latest boxing protégé.

Garnic, the local boxing legend whose training camp Round 2 in Coal Center has been the training ground for some the biggest names in the sport, will be in the corner of Daniel “Mountain Man” Martz for his heavyweight bout against former IBF champion Prince Charles Martin.

Martz (18-6-1, 15 KOs) and Martin (26-2-1, 23 KOs) will headline a card Saturday night at the Armory in Minneapolis. Martin, who last held the title in 2016, is the 17th ranked heavyweight in the world.

The fight will be televised on FS1.
