Dorothy Baxter Pust – Finleyville

Dorothy Baxter Pust, 71, of Finleyville, Ginger Hill, died Thursday, June 6, 2019, in Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. Born May 22, 1948, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Eleanor M. Pigford Baxter. A 1966 graduate of Monongahela High School, Dorothy worked many years for PennDOT until her retirement and was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Regina Shuback Morris and husband Neal and Jaime Riili, all of Finleyville; two step-granddaughters, Nichole and husband Charles Evanoff and Christina Pust; a brother, George R. “Sonny” and wife Bonnie Baxter of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Marylou Russell of Baldwin, along with two nieces and a nephew. Preceding her in death were her husband, James R. Pust, who died Jan. 24, 2018; a brother, Paul A. Baxter, who died Aug. 18, 2005; a stepson, Glen R. Pust, who died Oct. 15, 2014; and a nephew, Michael Baxter. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Blessing prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. with Father Kevin Dominik as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
