The founder of a nonprofit cat rescue in Charleroi and her husband will stand trial in Washington County Court on charges of animal cruelty.
Lori Kendall, 64, and Donald Caldwell, 64, both of Eighth Street, each waived their right to preliminary hearings Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins in Charleroi on two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals – causing significant bodily injury or death and cruelty to animals.
Washington County Animal Control filed charges against the couple last month.
