Doris E. Stark Menia – Fallowfield Township

Doris E. Stark Menia, 76, of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side. She was born in North Charleroi, on Nov. 29, 1942; the daughter of the late Thomas and Delilah Wolfe Stark. Doris was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, secretary and treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 of Charleroi. She retired from H & R Block after 37 years for service as a tax professional. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Johanna) Menia of Twilight; three daughters, Diana (Philip) Riel of Perryopolis, Carol (Patrick) Quigley of Fallowfield Township, Virginia Boso and companion Thomas Hamilton of Vanderbilt; and sister, June Wood of Charleroi; grandchildren, David Riel, George Menia, Monica Menia, Johanna Holmes, Daniel Menia, Michelle Boso and Michael Boso Jr. Doris is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Doris is preceded in death by her husband, August “Augie” Menia, of 52 years of marriage; her son, Thomas Menia; brother Thomas Stark Jr.;and sister Lee Marbach. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 of Charleroi will conduct an honorary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday May 24, 2019, at in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Custer officiating. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
