Car slams into Rostraver Township house

A Rostraver Township couple narrowly avoided disaster as a vehicle crashed into their house Monday morning.
Township police responded around 8:30 a.m. to 219 Tyrol Blvd., where Bob and Jennifer Breckenridge have lived for the past three years.
“The guy came around that bend a little too fast, side-swiped a van and must have lost control because he ran right into the house,” Bob Breckenridge said, adding the driver narrowly avoided hitting the home’s natural gas meter.
He said the impact “felt like an airplane fell out of the sky or something” and “rattled (him) a bit.”
