Frank H. Rimsek – Savannah, Ga., formerly of Donora
Frank H. Rimsek, 52, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The North Charleroi native was born on Feb. 16, 1967 to the late Frank R. Rimsek and Mariann L. Cook Rimsek Bulko. In addition to his father, Frank was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Mary Rimsek, and Henry and Theda Cook. Frank was a 1985 graduate of Ringgold High School. He lived a life of service and dedication to his family, work, and country. He was a veteran, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, Armor Branch and after transitioning to the criminal investigation division branch as a special agent. Frank earned numerous service awards, to include a Bronze Star for exemplary actions during combat operations in Desert Storm, additional awards earned during military service were, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Service Medal, Nation Defense Service Medal, noncommissioned officer development medals and the Overseas Service Medal for Germany and the Middle East. Frank was a certified training instructor, sniper weapons expert, and certified special agent investigator, and many others. Following his discharge at Fort Stewart, Frank used his experience as a special agent with CID to start a business, Savannah Investigative & Security Consults Inc. During this time, he also earned a degree in Psychology. Frank was a gun enthusiast that loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining with family and friends. Frank had a passion for motorcycles, boating, and fast cars. Frank loved his three children, being proud of each of them for their accomplishments. He loved a good story and his humor was infectious. Many will miss Frank’s sweet smile and contagious laugh. He was excited to be marrying his best friend, Heather Murphy in seven weeks. In addition to Heather, Frank leaves three beautiful children, Chad E. Rimsek, Jessica Rimsek Hightower (Dustin) and Anna M. Rimsek; and their mother, Kristen E. Rimsek; three brothers, David Rimsek (Linda), Ryan Rimsek (Simone) and Thomas Bulko (Tabitha); a sister, Kathy Marciak (Matthew); and his nieces and nephews, Kyle Slavic, Amanda, Lydia, Katie, Bailey, Nicholas and Brody Rimsek, Alyea Bulko, Tyler Marciak, Anna Marie Marciak, Cassandra Sue and Caroline Grace Harden.
