Donald Evans – Las Vegas, Nev.

Donald Evans passed away in Las Vegas, Nev., on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the age of 75. He was born in New Eagle, on Dec. 31, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ellen Evans. He is survived by his sister, Dolly Mellinger and her husband Dave of Monongahela. Upon his graduation from Monongahela High School, he enlisted in the Army and advanced to Specialist 4. He worked may years in Anchorage, Alaska for the Alaskan pipelines and as a longshoreman. During that time, he started an orange plantation on the big island of Hawaii and eventually spent his retirement years in Las Vegas. Don enjoyed traveling and joined a rock club and a gold prospecting club. He was an avid silversmith and turned out many unique pieces of jewelry. Interment will be determined at a later date.
