Monessen tops Mapletown to give Matush 100 wins

Monessen baseball coach Billy Matush earned win No. 100 in his career as his Greyhounds cruised to a 13-3 win over Mapletown in five innings Wednesday.
The Hounds (6-6, 5-2) quickly marched out to a 10-1 lead after two innings, scoring seven in the first and three in the second. They added two more in the third and another in the fourth.
Cam Frolo had a pair of hits to lead the way at the plate while Jack Sacco, Sonny Thomas, Tyler Swann and Dishon Howell each drove in a pair of runs.
Logan Beck had two of Mapletown’s five hits.
