JoAnn Crumrine – Belle Vernon

JoAnn Crumrine, 86, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2019, in Mon Valley Hospital.  A daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth McCreary Abbott, she was born in Pittsburgh, on Oct. 14, 1932. A resident of Belle Vernon for most of her adult life, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. JoAnn was a waitress at the Eat ‘n Park in Belle Vernon for the past 12 years and did some housekeeping for two close friends. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl (Nick Povich) Lennex of Belle Vernon; three sons and two daughters-in-laws, Russell and Mary Madden of Washington, Pa., Thomas Madden and Mary Vitalbo-Madden of  Fallowfield Township and Gary Madden of Chestertown, Md.; two sisters, Jean Robbibaro and Margaret Anthos and two  brothers, Roger and Joseph Abbott, all of  Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Crystal Leigh (Daniel) DeMoss, Ryan Madden, Russell Madden, Racheal Madden, Nicole Madden and Steven Madden; and three great-grandchildren, Jolieana Pletcher, Gianna Pletcher and Alaniyah DeMoss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Madden, in 1979; a grandson, Chad Madden; and a brother, Richard Abbott. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with a funeral service beginning at 8:30 p.m. at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
