One day after falling in walk-off fashion, the Elizabeth Forward baseball team bounced back for its first Section 3-4A win, 8-7, over Uniontown at Wylie Field Thursday.

The Warriors (4-2, 1-1) trailed 6-3 heading into the bottom of the fifth before striking for three runs to tie the score. Uniontown (0-3, 0-2) regained the lead with a run in the top of the sixth but EF scored two more in the bottom half of the inning which made the difference in the win.

Nate Homa and Nate Cole led the offensive attack for EF, finishing with two hits and an RBI each. Cole doubled twice and Homa added a double of his own. Chase Vaughn, Patrick Minda and JC Schmidt also picked up two-baggers.

Vaughn and Minda each drove in a pair of runs while Jacob Prah added one RBI.
