Doris M. Anderson, 92, of Lynnwood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019. A daughter of the late William and Della Greene Fisher, she was born in North Charleroi on May 7, 1926. A resident of Lynnwood most of her adult life, Doris was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church. She had been an operator for the former Bell Telephone Company. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Joe Nagy of Belle Vernon; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Carla Anderson of Monongahela; two grandchildren, Melanie Nagy and husband John Barkey of Monessen, and Cara DeSimone and her husband Patrick DeSimone of Rostraver; a great-granddaughter, Gia DeSimone and one ‘on the way’; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin J. Anderson, on May 14, 2013; a sister, Ethel Crawford; and two brothers, Raymond and Willard Fisher. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Eugene H. Spear officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. If friends wish, donations can be made to the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church in Doris’ name.
