Soliciting fees to be increased

Soliciting in North Belle Vernon will soon be more expensive.
During a meeting Tuesday, council unanimously agreed to amend a solicitation ordinance and fees for those seeking permits to solicit in the borough.
Originally adopted in 1984, it has never before been updated.
According to the original ordinance, anyone seeking to solicit in the borough required a permit.
