BVA girls spoil EF’s senior night

There may not be a hotter team entering the WPIAL basketball playoffs than the Belle Vernon Area girls.
The Leopards went into section champion Elizabeth Forward’s gym Thursday and walked out a 64-42 winner, snapping the Warriors eight-game winning streak and putting a damper on senior night festivities.
“We didn’t change our approach at all,” BVA coach Ronnie Drennen said. “We were hurt by the outcome of the game at our place and we looked at this as another chance to continue getting better.”
And the Leopards looked much better.
