It wasn’t an ordinary five-day span for Serra Catholic’s Jimmy Moon.

Over the course of three games from Jan. 25-29, the 6-9 standout reached a career milestone, nearly helped his team pick up a come-from-behind victory over a Class 5A powerhouse and became a member of a section championship squad.

“It was a great five days,” Serra Catholic head coach Justin Walther said. “Getting his 1,000th point was a great accomplishment and nearly defeating the defending 6A champions and clinching the section was a lot of fun.

“Jimmy has kept a level head throughout it all. This is just a great group to be around. The boys are such a ‘together’ group and I cannot wait for this stretch run.”
