Jaden Taylor’s rebound and putback after a missed free throw helped Ringgold close out a 56-49 win over South Park Tuesday night.

“It was a big possession and I said, ‘This is going to win the game for us,’” Taylor said. “I trust our defense and once I scored I knew we were going to win it. My team is behind me and they trust (me against) any man that I have to guard whether it be big or small.”

Luke Wyvratt went to the line with 1:16 left to play and the Rams (11-3, 4-1) clinging to a 50-49 lead. His shot was off target, but Taylor leaped to grab the rebound and score.

That rebound took the life right out of the Eagles as Ringgold closed the game by going 4 for 4 from the foul line.
