Breakthrough Player of the Year: Whitlock served as playmaking freshman for Greyhounds

In year number one of his high school career, there wasn’t much freshman Devin Whitlock didn’t do well for Monessen.

He threw the football effectively under center, ran with a purpose in the Greyhounds’ backfield, provided a stellar receiving option in the pass game and made a big impact in the return game.
