Port Vue department hosts boy whose mother died in fire

Members of Port Vue’s Vigilant Hose Co. said they “took it really hard” when a borough resident died in July after she and her 11-year-old son were trapped in their burning Elmwood Street home.

Faith Noll Roscoe, 45, and her son, Nathan, were taken to a Pittsburgh-area hospital where she died July 29 as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
