Collapsing structure quickly brought down in McKeesport

A former school building on Bowman Avenue in McKeesport is in the process of being demolished after it started collapsing late Wednesday night.
McKeesport Public Works crews quickly shut down the road and redirected traffic along Westinghouse and Fifth avenues in North Versailles because debris, bricks and cinder blocks started falling from the building onto the street and the sidewalk on Bowman Avenue after a large portion of an exterior wall of what used to be Highland Grove Elementary School disintegrated. At least half of the roof also collapsed, according to the city.
