State officials discuss education, job links

McKeesport-based Democratic state Rep. Austin Davis was joined by five other state representatives in the city Wednesday to discuss how to better prepare area students for “real-world” careers.

The Consortium for Public Education, a nonprofit organization that provides partnerships and professional learning networks between businesses, students and schools, hosted a state House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing at its RIDC McKeesport Industrial Center conference space.
