Store wins case against PennDOT

Washington County Court agrees with Bartolotta’s Giant Eagle in Finleyville that PennDOT’s plans to close Peters Creek Bridge for two months would unreasonably impact the grocery store.

The two-lane bridge on Route 88 is slated for replacement, and PennDOT’s plan included a closure of the bridge in both directions along with a nearly five-mile detour for southbound traffic to reach the Giant Eagle.
