Area man sentenced to prison for unlawful possession of ammunition

A West Mifflin man was sentenced in federal court on Monday to 40 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, on his conviction of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Mark R. Hornak imposed the sentence on Davion Xavier Thompson, 23, who pleaded guilty to the charge in June.
