BVA tables decision on athletic director

Several parents were angered that the position remains open.

The Belle Vernon Area School District is still without an athletic director, as the school board opted Tuesday to table a motion to hire Jake Sweitzer in a 5-4 vote.

Secretary Robert Harhai and Directors Stephanie Quinn, Janis Niemiec, Stacey Livengood and Josh Pollock voted to table the motion. President Jack Curran, Vice President Michelle Callaway-Rodriguez and Directors Adam Spitznagel and Carly Gargan voted against it.
