Inaugural Mon Valley Arts Crawl a success in McKeesport

The City of McKeesport hosted its inaugural Mon Valley Arts Crawl on Saturday, at Cox’s Corner Lot, People’s Building, and various spots in the 300 block of Fifth Avenue.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which featured visual arts, musicians, poets and art demonstrations, silk-screening, stained-glass exhibits and mural paintings.

There were also food vendors, musicians and other amenities.

“We had this vision of creating a creative place in McKeesport where people can express themselves for a long time. When the community is united, the impossible becomes possible,” said Curt
