Stella Teresa Ravish – Pittsburgh
Stella Teresa Ravish, 91, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. She was born March 31, 1935, in Axelton, daughter of the late Benjamin and Victoria Chacihavska Ravish. Stella graduated in 1953 from Monongahela High School. She was employed at Westinghouse for most of her career, where she started working as a secretary. She always had a dream to go to college. She started taking classes at Community College of Allegheny County, where she earned an associate degree in science. She later attended Carlow College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, and then a Master of Arts degree from Duquesne University. Soon after, she was promoted to trade show manager at Westinghouse. For years, she was a very active member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Lebanon. Stella enjoyed traveling, playing slot games at the casino and classical music. But most of all, she loved getting together with family and friends. Surviving are three sisters, Ann Ravish of Bethel Park, Victoria Rinchetti and Josephine (Francis) Staffen, all of Monongahela; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Bernard, Stanley “Stush” and Edward Ravish; and a nephew-in-law, John L. Miclot. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Committal services and interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
