Charles ‘Chuckie’ W. Olkonen Sr. – Charleroi

Charles “Chuckie” W. Olkonen Sr., 75, of Charleroi, died unexpectedly on Sept. 15, 2026. He was born Feb. 28, 1951, at Mon Valley Hospital, son of the late Walter W. Olkonen and Josephine Danca Hurst. Charles was well known throughout the Valley. He enjoyed many years as a Corning employee at the Charleroi plant as a supervisor and lead engineer mechanic, where he manufactured the Expressions Collection 1988 dishware and received many awards and recognitions before his retirement.
