Local covered bridge activities canceled

Linda Winfrey and Rick Waychoff of New Hampshire walk near the Ebenezer Covered Bridge at Mingo Creek County Park Thursday afternoon. Waychoff, originally from Washington, Pa., and Winfrey are visiting family in the area and stopped at the park for a picnic. The Washington and Greene Counties’ Covered Bridge Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, but the activities at Ebenezer Bridge and Henry Bridge at Mingo Creek County Park have been canceled due to flooding and the potential for more rain.
