Mary Ann Polkabla Spina – Latrobe, formerly of Kennedy Township

LATROBE, FORMERLY OF KENNEDY TOWNSHIP Mary Ann Polkabla Spina, 79, of Latrobe, formerly of Kennedy Township, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, at Brookdale, Lat robe. Born Aug. 9, 1947, in Donora, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Polkabla and Margaret Grabel Polkabla. Mary Ann attended St. John’s General Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh after graduating from high school. Nursing was truly Mary Ann‘s vocation, but it was also a passion of hers that lasted a lifetime. Throughout her career, she served as an emergency room nurse at St. John’s General, Montefiore, Mon Valley and Ohio Valley Hospitals, and retired from the Radiology Department at Ohio Valley Hospital.
