Casimir ‘Boe’ Grodz – California, Pa., formerly of Clairton
CALIFORNIA, PA., FORMERLY OF CLAIRTON Casimir “Boe” Grodz, 72, of California, Pa., formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sept. 2, 2026. Born on July 27, 1954, at McK eesport Hospital, Boe was the son of the late Casimir Grodz and Mary Sabol. Boe lived a life centered around the people and passions he loved most. He was a sentimental man who treasured his family, friendships and music. His passion for music began early and remained with him throughout his life. He performed with several local bands, including The Majestics, The De-Villes and Sierra, which was at one time voted the top country band in the Pittsburgh area. He also ran sound and audio for numerous local musical acts, always eager to be involved in the music he loved. Boe’s career took him through many roles, beginning at Clairton Coke Works and later including work as a local radio DJ on several stations and as a DJ for events. He also worked as an ice hockey referee and, in one
