Curtis ‘in conversation’ for spot start

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder, a 2023 12th-round draft pick out of Arizona State, hasn’t allowed a run in his first eight innings in the majors. That’s one-third of an inning shy of the start Bubba Chandler had to his career last summer, so it’s only natural that Curtis has inserted himself into the mix for a spot start — if not a spot in the starting rotation.
