The day after landing in Norway we planned a leisurely day traveling a scenic route to visit my friend Karin who lives and works at the Viking Valley Village in Gudvangen. We took the scenic and historic Flam Railway and had booked a two-hour scenic ferry from Flam to Gudvangen in place of the 20-minute, throughthe- mountain-tunnel-so-you-don’t- see-a-thing bus ride to the same location.
