Shooting in Clairton investigated

Jefferson Hills firefighters were flagged down by a shooting victim Tuesday afternoon along Route 837 in Clairton, the department posted on its Facebook page.

They report that the person had “significant bleeding from his lower body” before collapsing to the ground.

Firefighters began emergency care and saw that he had multiple gunshot wounds. An EMS squad was contacted to transport him to a local trauma center.

Allegheny County police and Clairton police are investigating and ask for anyone with information to contact them directly or call 9-1-1.
