Mon Valley Business Alliance launches
A happy hour launch will be held July 16 at the cfsbank Resource Center in Monongahela.
For the MVI
The Mon Valley Business Alliance (MVBA), a new regional membership organization designed to connect businesses, industry, municipalities, nonprofits, and community leaders across the Mon Valley, officially launched.
Built around the tagline, “Where Business, Industry & Community Align,” MVBA is focused on creating a stronger business ecosystem through collaboration, connection, education, advocacy, and regional engagement. The organization will serve as a network for businesses and community partners looking to build relationships, access resources, participate in professional development, and help shape the future of the Mon Valley.
To celebrate the launch, MVBA will host a launch happy hour from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 16 at the cfsbank Business Resource Center, 235 W. Main St., Monongahela. The event will include networking, refreshments, and opportunities for business owners, nonprofit leaders, municipal officials, manufacturers, and community partners to learn more about MVBA and become involved from the start.
“MVBA was created to bring people together in an intentional way,” said Tanya Chaney, director of business and community engagement. “There are so many businesses, organizations, and leaders doing great work across the Mon Valley. MVBA gives us a way to connect those efforts, strengthen relationships, and create new opportunities for collaboration and growth.”
Through MVBA, members will have access to networking events, educational programming, business resources, strategic partnerships, advocacy opportunities, and regional conversations focused on the needs and priorities of the Mon Valley. The organization will also provide opportunities for early adopter members to help shape the foundation of the initiative as it continues to grow.
“This is about aligning the people and organizations that are invested in the future of the Mon Valley,” said Mon Valley Alliance CEO Jamie Colecchi. “The Mon Valley has tremendous assets, from its business community and industrial base to its downtowns, nonprofits, and local leaders. MVBA gives us another tool to strengthen those connections and move forward together as a region.”
