BVA celebrates Class of 2026, top graduates

Commencement ceremonies were held Thursday night at James Weir Stadium.

Belle Vernon Area High School hosted commencement ceremonies Thursday evening for the Class of 2026 at James Weir Stadium.

There are 182 graduates this year.

Madison Grisnik was named valedictorian for the Class of 2026. Grace Ruschak was named salutatorian.

Madison Grisnik is the daughter of George Grisnik of Rostraver Township. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine majoring in biochemistry Grace Ruschak is the daughter of Thomas and Maureen Ruschak of Belle Vernon.

She plans to attend Franklin and Marshall College to major in biochemistry on the pre-med track, with a minor in piano.
